The mission of Escape to Asia is to help you build your new life in Asia.
Hi, I’m Steven Paul, creator of Escape to Asia. I’m an American guy in his 30s who’s been living as a digital nomad in Asia for the last two and a half years.
In that time, I’ve stayed in the following places:
- Thailand for over a year (Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Pattaya).
- Vietnam for ~6 months (Saigon, Hanoi, Da Nang, Da Lat, and Mui Ne).
- Philippines for ~3 months (Cebu City and Metro Manila).
- Japan for ~6 weeks (Tokyo and Osaka).
- Malaysia for ~2 weeks (Kuala Lumpur).
- Indonesia for ~2 weeks (Bali).
- Cambodia for ~1 week (Phnom Penh).
- Hong Kong for ~1 week.
When I was younger, I also traveled to a ~dozen other countries (mostly in Europe and the Americas). And I lived as a digital nomad in the U.S. for a few years, too.
Basically, I travel a lot. And in recent years, I’ve come to love having Southeast Asia (mostly Thailand and Vietnam) as my home base.
How am I able to travel and live in all these places? Well, my career is building and running content-based online businesses.
When I started traveling in Asia, I was making about $5,000 a month of passive income from a nutrition blog. Eventually, I sold that blog for a low six-figure amount, and decided to start over with a couple of new brands—including this one!
In the past, I’ve also helped grow YouTube channels and social media followings for several businesses. Marketing is a passion of mine, and I’m grateful I can do this work while traveling.
My strongest belief in life is a simple one: If you have a crazy dream, then you should think seriously about how you can make it happen, and at least try… Because what else is the point of being alive?
With Escape to Asia, I want to help people with a specific “crazy dream”—one that I achieved for myself—to move across the world and start a new life in Asia.
I hope you’ll find my guidance helpful on your journey.
